Dr. Victor Babes Memorial Museum
- situated on 14 A, Andrei Muresanu street
- it was inaugurated in 1955
- the collection comprises furniture, personal belongings, manuscripts, photographs, documents, an album with poems written by the scientist, and books among which "Les Bacteries" describing over 50 germs, parasites and viruses Babes discovered
- Victor Babes:
- was born on the 28th of July in Vienna
- he attended the medical courses in Vienna and Budapest
- at 27 he passed the examination for the doctor’s degree in Budapest
- between 1887-1926 he was a pathological anatomy and bacteriology professor at Faculty of Medicine in Bucharest
- in 1888, he organized, in Bucharest, the second Center of Anti-rabic Vaccination in the world, after that of Louis Pasteur, in Paris
