Maria and Dr. George Severeanu Collection
- the building that houses the collection is situated on 26, Henri Coanda street
- Dr. George Severeanu, the well-known radiologist and renowned antiquity collector, was the founder of the Romanian Numismatic Society and director of the Municipal Museum
- Dr. George Severeanu donated this collection to the History Museum of Bucharest Municipality. The first donation was done by Maria Severeanu in 1939. It was completed in 1949 and opened to the public in 1956
- the collection contains: prehistoric silexes, Tanagra statuettes, antique jewels, the most important private collection of Roman-Greek ceramics belonging to the inter-war period, medieval and modern European numismatic, and also coins assigned to Dracula
- the collection also consists of original furniture, Romanian and foreign engravings, paintings by Anton Chladek, Theodor Aman, Arthur Verona as well as an impressive library
